Having a humble heart
God does not look at the outside of a person and judge. He is a God that looks at the heart of a person. When God sent Samuel to the house of Jesse to anoint a king, he saw Eliab the eldest son of Jesse and thought he must be the right person for the position. Why? because he looked good from the outside. God stopped Samuel from anointing him and told him not to look at his appearance. David being the youngest son and a shepherd was disregarded and not included in the selection process of all the brothers to be anointed (see Samuel 19:1-3). God saw the humble heart of David and was anointed a king. We are all beautiful in the eyes of God but many at times people are judged by their looks. We all have individual gifts and talents so do not let other people’s opinion hinder your gifts and talent. You are an ornament unto God, and He loves you unconditionally.
