The Joy of the Lord
is our Strength
As written in Galatians 5:22, Joy is a fruit from God which runs deeper within oneself and is present at all times and in all situations. Joy gives us strength and power to overcome trials we face in life. Satan’s hope is to steal from us, as he did to Job in the book of Job chapters 1 and 2. Job became victorious throughout all trials he faced because his strength was always in the Lord. Children are always joyful: why? Because they know they are dependent on their parents to take good care of them even in difficult situations. When everything in life seems to be going wrong: When you are having problems in different areas of your life: marriage, finances, health, job, God promises to be your strength. That means He will deliver you and provide a way out of the troubles you are in. God wants you to remain joyful even in times of trouble because His joy is your strength (see Nehemiah 8:10). Discouragement and despair will weaken you, but being joyful would strengthen you. Satan’s tool against us is fear. Fear prevents us from making progress in life. But thank God that in Him we will make progress even when things are difficult. Look onto God as your source of strength: and remember that you have the ability to maintain joy in your life through His strength. Each day that God gives you is a blessed gift from Him. Rejoice therefore and be glad in it.
