Prayer is our communication to God. God wants us to communicate with Him at all times as we would with a friend or a dear one on the telephone. We are to approach God in boldness (Hebrews 4:16). Meaning, in confidence; trusting and knowing that He will take care of us as a mother would take good care of her baby. When a baby needs attention, he or she would cry, and the mother would respond. When we pray, God hears and responds to us. God is committed to send us help from above. Jesus warns us in Mark 14:38 to pray so that we do not fall into temptation. When we are prayer-less we are helpless. Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego had courage and faith in God. Through prayer God delivered them from the burning fire when they refused to bow down to the golden image set up by king Nebuchadnezzar (Daniel 3:17-26). God has reserved mercy for us at the throne of grace, and we can access it by crying out for it. Jesus always stood still and delivers someone whenever they cry out for mercy. Why not take advantage of God’s mercy and allow Him to lighten every load you have been carrying by yourself. Call on Him today and He will answer you.
