Overcoming Marriage
problems
In the book of Genesis 2:18-25, we find God’s original plan for marriage. A man shall be joined to his wife and become one. Meaning the two would be strongly united together as one. Since God designed marriage, it takes three to make a good marriage: God, the man, and the woman. God is love; and therefore wants us to demonstrate His love in our marriage. God has given us principles to follow concerning marriage, (Ephesians 5:21-33) and if we choose to live in accordance of them, we will enjoy a peaceful marriage. Many married couples do not experience the fulfilment of God’s plan in their marriage; they resent one another, they harbour anger and there is no unity. A marriage can stand very strong if couples maintain a relationship with Jesus Christ and a commitment to obey God’s word. The Bible says in Love is the foundation of every marriage (Ephesians 5:25). Love respects one another, it is kind in words and action, it communicates well with one another, it does not let the sun go down and still be angry, it is not rude but treats others with compassion, it is a very good helper, it builds up, it does not keep remembrance of wrong deeds, it is forgiving, it does not retaliate, it does not draw attention to itself nor is it selfish. A marriage filled with love is a marriage filled with heaven. A marriage that operates according to the principles of God’s word brings glory to the Lord and is full of joy. If your marriage is going through any form of storm at that moment, why not surrender it to God and ask Him to help you. You have been joined together under God, don’t allow anything or anyone to separate your love from each other. Loving each other deeply can cover all things. God is glorified when we do His will by loving like He does. God bless you.
