Grievous words can cause sorrow, pain and harm in a person’s life. People do argue about things that don’t matter to argue about. Proverb 15:1 says that a “soft answer turns away wrath”. Jesus showed us example of how to use soft answers in Luke 23:34. Giving soft answers makes communication enjoyable and easy to be entreated. It gives impression of your kindness, love, patience, caring, and gentleness. There are many scriptures that can help you overcome grievous words with soft words, read them to help you. Responding harsh words in a calmly and a gentle way, stop an argument.
